Erosion and Wear Behavior of Metal Structure

Dear Colleagues,

Surface coating technology plays a crucial role in the application of metals. In recent decades, fruitful studies have reported on the erosion and wear behavior of metal structures. Many outstanding studies have led to an acceleration in the already rapid progression of our everyday lives. Naturally, there are still many theories that remain unknown and main unsolved problems related to metal structure and behavior. Thus, to trigger further development, we should research the relationship between microstructure characteristics and wear behavior more deeply. For this reason, the present Special Issue “Erosion and Wear Behavior of Metal Structure” is put forward. For this Special Issue, we wish to present a collection of the excellent studies being conducted on metals around the world, including but not limited to such topics as surface coating technology, erosion behavior, wear behavior, plastic deformation, microstructure characterization, tribological property, thermal property, mechanical properties, magnesium, aluminum, titanium, shape memory alloy, and XRD, SEM, and TEM analyses.
