Dear Colleagues,
I invite you to contribute to this Special Issue with various scientific papers (types of thermal deposition, plasma jet thermal deposition, thermal deposition in general, spray metallization, spray metallization, new technologies, etc.). There is ongoing research on improving surface properties for industrial applications, for agricultural soil processing machinery, in the metallurgical industry, etc., in order to increase mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and wear resistance under considerable loads. The purpose of the Special Issue is to include articles dedicated to thermal deposition methods for functional coatings (plasma jet, electric arc, or flame spraying). This Special Issue aims to collect at least 10 articles in this field with applicability in various industrial, agricultural or metallurgical fields, by imposing special usage properties, depending on the nature of the powders/materials used, for specific very-high-performance uses.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Coatings is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
