Advances in Pediatric Asthma: Comorbidities, Precision Medicine and Digital Health

Dear Colleagues,

Pediatric asthma remains one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood and a major global health challenge. Although significant advances have improved our understanding of disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies, asthma continues to show remarkable clinical heterogeneity and optimal disease control remains difficult to achieve in many children. Furthermore, the growing recognition of asthma-related comorbidities and the rapid development of precision medicine and digital health technologies are reshaping clinical management.

This Special Issue aims to provide an updated overview of the latest advances in pediatric asthma, bringing together current evidence from epidemiological, translational and clinical research. We welcome original research articles, reviews and perspectives addressing epidemiology, diagnosis, biomarkers, prevention, comorbidities, disease remission, transition from pediatric to adult care, biologic therapies, precision medicine and innovative digital approaches, including remote monitoring, telemedicine, artificial intelligence and digital health solutions for improving outcomes in children and adolescents.

Manuscript Submission Information

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Children is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
