From Monoculture to Cover Crops: Evaluating the Benefits and Limitations of Different Cropping Systems

This Special Issue, "From Monoculture to Cover Crops: Evaluating the Benefits and Limitations of Different Cropping Systems", explores the historical shift from traditional monoculture to more diversified cropping systems, particularly the adoption of cover crops. The aim of this Special Issue is to assess the ecological, economic, and agronomic advantages and challenges associated with these systems, emphasizing sustainability and soil health. We welcome cutting-edge research that focuses on the latest innovations in cover crop management, ecosystem services, and resource conservation. We aim to gather papers including original research, reviews, and case studies that examine the benefits, limitations, and practical applications of diverse cropping systems, aiming to provide insights for both researchers and practitioners in the field.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
