Cover Story: This volume gathers papers presented at the 1st International Electronic Conference on Catalysis Sciences in 2020 (ECCS 2020), a conference with the main goal of facilitating the engagement of worldwide well-known experts who are currently working in catalysts science and providing an online forum for the presentation and discussion of new results. Through online presentations, discussions, and other activities, the conference covered the following topics: single atom catalysts, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, catalysts for natural gas conversion, catalysts for biomass conversion, computational catalysis, catalyst synthesis and characterization, and biocatalysis.
