August-2 2025 - 81 articles

Cover Story: Nanofluids (NFs), suspensions of nanoparticles in base fluids, are reviewed in terms of synthesis strategies, formulation, and applied engineering applications. This review compares conventional NFs, which are synthesized chemically and physically, with green NFs, a more sustainable and biocompatible alternative derived from plants and other biological sources. The impact of key parameters on NF performance is examined across biomedical, thermal, and machining applications. Ultimately, the review highlights the potential of both green and conventional NFs while outlining the challenges and opportunities that will inspire next-generation research and innovations in this field. View this paper
