Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Particle technology involves the handling and processing of particles and powders. These procedures incorporate the formation, modification, separation, storage, transport, characterization, and application of particulate materials, as well as ensuring their safety. In these processes, whether they are wet or dry, one or more of the materials concerned are in the form of particles, with sizes ranging from nanometers to centimeters. Particle technology is informed by and applies to almost all industries, from the chemical, petrochemical, agricultural, food, pharmaceutical, mineral, and civil engineering sectors to those centered on advanced materials, energy, and the environment, to name a few. Along with increasingly stringent environmental legislation and requirements, increasing eco-friendly materials, processes, and products are emerging, as well as sophisticated technologies. Innovations in green particle technology are significantly advancing the current state of the art in all these industries. It will thus be beneficial to both industrial and academic communities to gather recent research findings addressing the topic of green particle technologies in the journal Processes.

The aim of this Special Issue, “2nd Edition of Green Particle Technologies: Processes and Applications”, is to present the most recent advancements in the development of such technologies. We invite novel contributions focused on, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Green processes in the synthesis, formation, and modification of particles and in particle handling and operations;
  • The use of green materials in particle-related products;
  • The application of particle technology in the production of green products;
  • Processes in the treatment of waste and harmful particles;
  • New characterization methods and techniques enabling the development of green particulate materials and products.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Processes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
