Dear Colleagues,
The escalating prevalence of multi-drug resistant pathogens and complex chronic illnesses presents a critical challenge to global healthcare, driving the urgent need for innovative therapeutic interventions. Nanomedicine has emerged as a groundbreaking frontier, offering targeted solutions that conventional treatments cannot match. However, traditional chemical and physical methods of nanomaterial synthesis often rely on toxic reagents and high energy consumption, posing environmental and biocompatibility concerns. To address these limitations, green synthesis has pioneered a sustainable paradigm shift. This Special Issue focuses on the Plant-Mediated Synthesis of Nanostructures for Biomedical Applications, highlighting the utilization of plant extracts as eco-friendly, cost-effective, and efficient reducing and capping agents. By leveraging bioactive phytochemicals, such as polyphenols, flavonoids, and terpenoids, this biogenic approach fabricates nanostructures with minimized toxicity and enhanced biological affinity. We invite experts to contribute original research and comprehensive review articles elucidating the synthesis, characterization, and multifaceted biomedical evaluation of these green nanostructures. Key topics include, but are not limited to, their applications in targeted drug delivery, antimicrobial and antiviral therapies, oncology, tissue engineering, and biosensing. Together, we aim to map future directions for translating plant-derived nanotechnology into safe, next-generation clinical therapies. We look forward to your valuable contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
