Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The 1st Aristotle Conference on Chemistry (ACC) (http://acc2023.chem.auth.gr) will be held from 12 to 15 October 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The theme of the 1st ACC, entitled “Advances and Challenges in Chemistry”, was carefully chosen to mark the 80th anniversary of opening of the School of Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, first established in 1943. This event will serve as a platform for researchers from all over the world to present the latest and most exciting research advances in different and distinct, but also overlapping, sub-specialities in the field of chemistry. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  1. Advanced and Sustainable Synthetic Methodologies in Organic Chemistry
  2. Advances in Food Science, Technology and Quality Control
  3. Analytical Chemistry and Quality Control in Bioanalytical, Food, Environmental and Archaeometric applications
  4. Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry and Biotechnology
  5. Chemistry Education-Applications of Information and Communication Technologies in Chemistry
  6. Computational Chemistry and Molecular Modeling
  7. Environmental Chemistry and Technology
  8. Environmental pollutants: Analysis, Occurrence, Fate, Exposure Assessment and Treatment Approaches
  9. Experimental, Theoretical and Computational Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry
  10. Green and Sustainable Chemistry and Chemical Technology
  11. Inorganic Chemistry—Bioinorganic Chemistry—Nanochemistry
  12. Organic Synthesis of Bioactive Molecules and Natural Products
  13. Polymer and Colors Chemistry and Technology

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
