Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Following the success of 1st Edition, which explored the health benefits of bioactive compounds in functional foods, the 2nd Edition will continue to delve deeper into this important field. This volume will focus on the following key topics:

  • Profiling of Bioactive Compounds: Detailed analysis of the biochemical components found in functional foods.
  • Pharmacological Properties: Investigation of the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and other beneficial effects of bioactive compounds.
  • Therapeutic Applications: Exploring the use of bioactive ingredients in experimental models for disease prevention and health promotion.
  • Preclinical Studies: New insights from preclinical research on the effects of bioactive compounds in functional foods.

Through this issue, we aim to continue advancing the understanding of functional foods and their role in promoting overall well-being and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
