Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the second edition of the Special Issue "Clinical Progress in Personalized Management of Cardiac Surgery–2nd Edition". The first edition, published in the Journal of Personalized Medicine (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/jpm/special_issues/4I04HXR1RQ), received considerable interest and generated high-quality scientific contributions. Building on this success, this new edition aims to further advance the scientific dialog on precision and personalized strategies in cardiac surgery.
Recent advances in imaging, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, biomaterials, and perioperative medicine are rapidly transforming the way we evaluate, plan, and treat our patients. Personalized cardiac surgery integrates patient-specific anatomical, physiological, genetic, and lifestyle information to guide the selection of the most appropriate treatment and to optimize outcomes. This approach requires the collaboration of a multidisciplinary Heart Team and the integration of innovative technologies into daily clinical practice.
In this second edition, we invite original research articles and reviews that address a wide range of topics, including patient evaluation and risk stratification, surgical and hybrid approaches, postoperative management, long-term outcomes, and the implementation of emerging technologies such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and digital health solutions. We especially welcome studies demonstrating real-world applications and the development of new materials, devices, and technologies with potential to improve patient outcomes.
We cordially invite cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, biomedical engineers, data scientists, and other clinical and translational researchers to contribute their original work and expertise to this collaborative collection, with the ultimate goal of shaping the future of personalized cardiovascular care.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
