Recent Updates in Minimally Invasive Surgery

Dear Colleagues,

Modern surgery increasingly demands minimally invasive approaches. These methods are not just a trend; they represent a fundamental shift toward enhancing patient care. Key objectives include precision, the preservation of healthy tissue, and improved cosmetic outcomes. Oncological radicality and successful surgical results should consistently be achieved alongside these elements. Patient satisfaction and adherence are crucial following both surgical and diagnostic procedures, with the overarching goal of promoting overall physical and mental well-being.

This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to minimally invasive surgery. We will consider contributions addressing recent updates in minimally invasive surgery as well as novel techniques that improve patient compliance during surgical procedures or invasive diagnostic interventions.

Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Laparoscopic general surgery procedures
• Robotic surgery
• Emerging minimally invasive techniques in endocrine and breast surgery
• Applications of technology in enhancing surgical precision
• Strategies for reducing recovery times and improving post-operative outcomes

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
