Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Untreated obstructive sleep apnea is associated with cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline. Hypertension has been recognized as a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and dementia in midlife. Alterations in cardiac autonomic nervous function and endothelial dysfunction likely contribute to an increased risk of cardiovascular morbidity and cognitive decline.
