Hot Topics and New Insights in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pancreatic Diseases
This special issue belongs to the section "Gastroenterology & Hepatopancreatobiliary Medicine".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce this Special Issue on clinical advances in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic diseases. Pancreatic diseases often pose huge challenges, and individual treatment strategies are often needed. Therefore, an exact diagnosis of the clinical problem is the key to a successful treatment plan. Recent innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence can aid in diagnostic procedures. Robotic surgery or minimally invasive procedures may improve treatment possibilities as well; however, there are still some unanswered questions regarding this aspect.
Therefore, this Special Issue will cover different aspects of diagnosing pancreatic diseases such as acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic carcinoma. Experience with the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostic tools would be of great interest. Furthermore, innovations in the treatment of pancreatic diseases will be discussed. Additionally, interesting or new aspects of immediate pre- and postoperative therapy, i.e., new aspects in prehabilitation or advances in intensive care, will also come under the focus of this Special Issue. We are also interested in new aspects and innovative ideas of the management of postoperative complications.
We are looking for new aspects and reports on technical innovations, preoperative assessment, surgical and endoscopic techniques and treatment strategies of pancreatic diseases.
We encourage you to submit article or comprehensive review supported by this journal.
I am looking forward to receiving your submissions to this Special Issue.
Dr. Guido Alsfasser
