Rehabilitation Strategies for Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain
This special issue belongs to the section "Clinical Rehabilitation".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Chronic musculoskeletal pain is present in +150 conditions affecting +1.71 billion people and represents a continuous challenge for clinicians and researchers. Notably, evidence-based practice has been developed to provide clinicians with adequate diagnosis, assessment and management guidelines based on basic and clinical research. However, due to the heterogeneity and complex variety of musculoskeletal pain disorders and their response to rehabilitation management, specific research in this area is still needed. Integrating the biopsychosocial model is necessary to achieve proper management. The application of multimodal therapeutic approaches will lead to better effects in the management of musculoskeletal pain conditions than the application of isolated interventions. We are pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue “Rehabilitation Strategies for Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain”
This issue aims to better understand the proper management of musculoskeletal chronic pain by applying individualized clinical reasoning. This Special Issue will focus on the treatment and response mechanisms of chronic musculoskeletal pain and the identification of potential predictors of personalized/tailored treatment approaches.
We invite researchers/clinicians to submit original articles and reviews related to the rehabilitation management of musculoskeletal chronic pain.
