Current Concepts in Prostate Cancer: From Early Detection to Therapeutic Innovations
This special issue belongs to the section "Oncology".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Prostate cancer remains one of the most frequently diagnosed malignancies in men and a leading cause of cancer-related morbidity and mortality worldwide. Recent advances in screening strategies, multiparametric imaging, molecular and genomic profiling, and clinical risk stratification tools have refined early detection and enabled more personalized clinical decision-making. In parallel, progress in focal therapies, image-guided and adaptive radiotherapy, novel systemic treatments, and minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques is reshaping the management of both localized and advanced disease.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive, up-to-date overview of current concepts and therapeutic innovations in prostate cancer care, spanning the disease continuum from early detection through long-term follow-up and survivorship. Topics of interest include early detection and screening strategies, active surveillance and risk-adapted management, imaging-guided diagnosis and staging, treatment selection and sequencing, management of treatment-related toxicity and functional outcomes, and long-term oncological and patient-reported outcomes.
Particular emphasis is placed on evidence-based clinical practice, translational research, and technological and methodological innovations that improve survival, functional outcomes, and quality of life.
We welcome original research and clinical reviews that highlight emerging therapies and evolving standards of care in prostate cancer management.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
