New Perspectives in the Diagnosis and Management of Skin Cancer
This special issue belongs to the section "Dermatology".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Skin cancer remains one of the most prevalent malignancies encountered in modern medical practice. This Special Issue will comprise a comprehensive body of work spanning the full spectrum of skin cancer care—from population-level prevention strategies to the forefront of therapeutic innovation.
This Special Issue will focus on evidence-based outcomes across melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and Kaposi’s sarcoma, as well as other rare skin tumor types.
The articles in this Special Issue will address primary and secondary prevention efforts, as well as recent advances in diagnostics, including emerging imaging modalities such as line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) and advanced molecular investigations. In addition, articles will highlight evolving therapeutic strategies, including novel immunotherapeutic agents, targeted molecular therapies, and advances in surgical management, with particular attention given to the recognition and management of treatment-related adverse effects.
We warmly invite dermatologists, oncologists, and surgeons to engage with this Special Issue and contribute to a meaningful and impactful collection of work.
