MDPI will attend the 5th International Conference on Mega Deltas & the 1st International Workshop on Coastal Sustainability as an exhibitor. We warmly invite researchers and professionals to visit our booth, connect with our delegates, and exchange the latest scientific insights.
Large river deltas are vital nexuses between river basins and the ocean, and strategic regions for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Yet, climate change and human activities are intensifying challenges—from altered sediment delivery and sea-level rise to coastal erosion and ecosystem degradation—underscoring the urgent need for integrated land–sea governance and international cooperation.
Within the frameworks of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) and the UN Decade of Science for Sustainable Development (2024–2033), the 5th International Conference on Mega Deltas & the 1st International Workshop on Coastal Sustainability will bring together scientists, policymakers, industry representatives, and international organizations from around the world. Together, they will share cutting-edge research, governance experience, and innovative practices, and jointly explore sustainable solutions for coupled basin–estuary–coastal systems—contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and an ocean community with a shared future in harmony with nature.
