Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The 2025 4th International Conference on Power Systems and Energy Technology (ICPSET 2025), organized by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, will be held in Chengdu, China, from 18–20 July 2025. This conference will serve as a platform for global researchers, engineers, and industry experts to exchange cutting-edge findings in power systems, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and energy storage solutions. In recent years, the global energy landscape has undergone significant transformations, driven by the urgent need to address climate change, enhance energy security, and promote sustainable development. The integration of renewable energy sources, the evolution of smart grid technologies, and the rise of advanced energy storage systems have become critical areas of research and innovation. These advancements are reshaping the way we generate, transmit, and utilize energy, while also presenting new challenges in terms of grid stability, energy management, and policy implementation.

The Special Issue will cover, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  1. Smart grid and power system analysis
  • Grid stability, fault detection, and predictive maintenance.
  • AI-driven optimization for power system operation.
  • Distributed generation and microgrid integration.
  1. Renewable Energy Technologies
  • Solar, wind, and hybrid energy systems.
  • Energy storage innovations(batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage).
  1. Power Electronics and Drives
  • High-efficiency converters and wireless power transfer.
  • Electrification of transportation (EV charging infrastructure).
  1. Energy Policy and Sustainability
  • Techno-economic analysis of renewable projects.
  • Carbon-neutral strategies and lifecycle assessments.
  1. Emerging Trends
  • Digital twins for energy systems.
  • Blockchain applications in energy markets.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
