Pediatric Oral Health Promotion and Management: Prevention, Digital Innovation and Family Engagement
This special issue belongs to the section "Pediatric Dentistry & Oral Medicine".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Oral health during childhood is essential for overall health, development, and quality of life. Despite advances in pediatric dentistry, oral diseases remain prevalent, with disparities influenced by socioeconomic conditions, access to care, health literacy, family environments, and health behaviors.
This Special Issue, “Pediatric Oral Health Promotion and Management: Prevention, Digital Innovation and Family Engagement”, aims to present current evidence and innovative approaches to improving oral health among children and adolescents. We particularly welcome research on preventive and clinical care, oral health promotion and literacy, behavioral interventions, family and caregiver engagement, and school- or community-based oral health programs.
Emerging approaches involving digital oral health education, artificial intelligence, teledentistry, personalized interventions, and digital tools for risk assessment and behavior change are also encouraged.
We invite original research articles, clinical and intervention studies, systematic and scoping reviews, and implementation research. Through multidisciplinary perspectives, this Special Issue seeks to advance integrated pediatric oral health promotion and management by linking preventive and evidence-based care with family engagement, digital innovation, and community-based approaches. Ultimately, it aims to support lifelong oral health and well-being.
