Pediatric Arrhythmia Disorders: From Early Detection to Long-Term Care
This special issue belongs to the section "Pediatric Cardiology".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
From the initial diagnoses of pediatric arrhythmias in the 20th century and the rapid progression of genetic testing to the promise of disorder and gene-specific therapy, the diagnosis and management of pediatric arrhythmia disorders has evolved rapidly.
The goal of this Special Issue is to highlight current strategies for the diagnosis, management and long-term care of arrhythmia disorders in pediatric patients and examine how they have evolved, or have not, in the decades since their discovery.
New treatment strategies, including novel cardiac implantable electronic devices and gene-specific therapies, are emerging and may improve the long-term care of pediatric patients with arrhythmia.
We are interested in manuscripts that explore strategies for evaluation, acute stabilization and long-term treatment to optimize care for pediatric patients with arrhythmia disorders.
