Cover Story: The papers published in this volume were presented at the Exploratory Workshop, “Innovative Cross-Sectoral Technologies”, Vth Edition, Bucharest, Romania, 22–23 May 2023, Secvent project meeting, as well as at the 19th International Symposium, “Priorities of Chemistry for a Sustainable Development”, Bucharest, Romania, 11–13 October 2023. The 32 selected papers describe several research achievements in the following fields of study: The recovery of bioactive ingredients and their (nano)formulations for applications as plant biostimulants, feed additives, dietary supplements; CO2 sequestration and utilization; microbial biotechnologies; waste water treatment and biogas production; biosensors for the detection of biogenic amines; innovative bio-based construction materials; bioinformatic tools for bioactivity prediction; and multi-functional biobased plastic materials.
