The 32 selected papers describe several research achievements in the following fields of study: The recovery of bioactive ingredients and their (nano)formulations for applications as plant biostimulants, feed additives, dietary supplements; CO2 sequestration and utilization; microbial biotechnologies; waste water treatment and biogas production; biosensors for the detection of biogenic amines; innovative bio-based construction materials; bioinformatic tools for bioactivity prediction; and multi-functional biobased plastic materials.
