Cover Story: Adaptive reuse of buildings is considered a superior alternative for new construction in terms of sustainability. Although there are many economic, social, and environmental benefits, adaptive reuse projects face several challenges and barriers during the project lifecycle. Usage of Interface Management System (IMS) can improve adaptive reuse projects outcomes by defining appropriate ways to identify, record, monitor, and track project interfaces between project participants. The aim of this research is to develop a reference framework for implementing IMS for adaptive reuse projects. View this paper.
