October 2017 - 90 articles

Cover Story: The Icó-Mandantes Bay is one of the major branches of the Itaparica Reservoir (Sub-Middle São Francisco River, Northeast Brazil). Besides a severe prolonged drought affecting the region and the occurrence of harmful algae blooms in the shallow areas, the bay has a strategic importance – e.g., for water supply. Assessing the 3D effects induced by wind and temperature on the flow field through hydrodynamic modeling is of highest necessity to support advanced management (remediation) measures. View this paper
