Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
End-stage kidney disease(ESKD)poses a clinical challenge involving a significant decline in kidney function; this necessitates personalized and comprehensive care plans, with nutrition management playing a pivotal role. Thus, a thorough exploration of the dynamic interface between nutrition and end-stage kidney disease is urgently required. This interface encompasses multiple dimensions, including the altered nutritional needs of patients during the end-stage kidney disease phase, the application of modern medical technologies in nutritional assessments, and targeted nutritional intervention strategies tailored to patients on dialysis, those undergoing kidney transplantation, and individuals at different stages of kidney failure. Furthermore, this exploration delves into how factors such as cardiovascular health, inflammation, and the immune response are intertwined with the nutritional management of end-stage kidney disease patients. To address these crucial aspects, we extend a cordial invitation to researchers to share their insights, latest research findings, and experiences in this Special Issue entitled "Advancements in Nutrition Management for End-Stage Kidney Patients", which aims to navigate the intricate landscape of nutrition management in end-stage kidney disease while fostering an interdisciplinary dialogue that advances both scientific knowledge and clinical practice.
