Personalized Strategies in Advanced Acute Care and Trauma Surgery

Dear Colleagues,

The goal of this Special Issue is to move beyond "one-size-fits-all" protocols by highlighting how precision surgery can be applied in the high-pressure environments of the trauma bay and the operating theater. We will publish research that explores the transition toward patient-specific care, ranging from tailored damage control surgery and individualized rescue strategies for refractory shock to the physiological optimization of organ donation after trauma.

Our scope encompasses the entire continuum of the acutely injured patient, including the evolution of goal-directed massive transfusion protocols and the use of predictive analytics in advanced trauma and acute care surgery. By focusing on how we can adapt our surgical and resuscitative interventions to the unique biological and metabolic profile of each patient, we hope to establish a new standard for clinical excellence in this field.

We are looking for highly impactful papers, including original research articles and comprehensive reviews, on emerging surgical techniques.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
