Advances of Autophagy in Human Cancers and Tumors

Dear Colleagues,

Autophagy plays a crucial role in cellular physiology and metabolic regulation, as demonstrated in recent research. There are various forms of autophagy, including mitophagy, chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA), clockophagy, and ferritinophagy, each typically associated with processes such as cell growth, death, and metabolism. In cancer cells, autophagy is often dysregulated, contributing to increased migration and invasion, altered metabolism, resistance to chemotherapy, and changes in apoptotic pathways. This Special Issue invites manuscripts that investigate different types of autophagy involved in cancer-related mechanisms and explore the regulation of autophagy in cancer therapy.
