The Biotechnology Section publishes cutting-edge research and innovative applications at the biology–technology interface. We welcome original research, reviews, and perspectives that advance fundamental biotechnological principles and address global challenges through sustainable biological solutions. Our scope spans genetic engineering, bioprocess optimization, nanobiotechnology, and transformative applications in health, agriculture, environmental remediation, and industrial sustainability. The editorial team upholds rigorous scientific standards and actively promotes interdisciplinary collaborations. We particularly encourage submissions aligned with our ongoing Special Issues and Topical Collections, including those focused on crop improvement, protein engineering, and bioactive compounds.
