Cover Story: In Industry 5.0, human–robot collaboration (HRC) enhances factory automation. Collaborative robots (cobots) ensure worker safety, but HRC may lead to mental stress and cognitive workload issues. Our research focuses on factory workers’ cognitive load under varying task conditions, examining their effect on subjective, behavioural, and physiological measures. We aim to predict traditional measures through physiological data. This study addresses the need for neuroergonomics in manufacturing to create a stress-free environment for employees working with cobots. View this paper
