Sustainable Economy-Environment-Society: Interconnection, Power Relations and Measures
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Topic invites the submission of papers from urban and agricultural landscapes and contexts. They are welcome to address each or any category of sustainability in depth in relation to interconnectivity and/or power relations. They might use concepts like functional biodiversity, refined wilding, agricultural wilding, nature-based solutions, sustainable trade, sustainable planning, game theory, power cubes, risk sensitivity, or human health and apply them to particular cases or review the literature to provide a state-of-the-art or up-to-date summary about a particular aspect of sustainability.
The suggested concepts delve into ecology, economy, human realities, landscape-level planning, system (community, building, city, block)-level interaction, and interconnectivity. Power relations delve into how the sustainability resulting from practice, research, or available knowledge is implemented, understood, and used. More in-depth sustainability categories include human, individual, or public health; the environment; green spaces; air; water; agricultural systems; rural communities; cities; and sustainable economies. This Topic therefore invites interdisciplinary scholars and practitioners to submit short or longer articles, opinions, reviews, original research, brief reports, or protocols. The articles should address interconnectivity and power relations while analyzing any sustainability category using a concept or other framing. They are welcome to maintain specificity by landscape type, sustainability category, or land use type.
