Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In light of ongoing global health disparities, there is a critical need to advance research into vaccines that are specifically tailored for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in order to promote equitable health outcomes. This Special Issue seeks to highlight innovative research and practical solutions led by researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to address vaccine development challenges, with a particular focus on multidrug-resistant pathogens and context-specific vaccine delivery. We welcome studies employing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, case studies on overcoming vaccine distribution barriers, and efforts to correct epistemic injustice by amplifying the voices of researchers from LMICs. Our goal is to provide a focused platform that drives innovation in the development of vaccines tailored to the unique needs and constraints of LMIC settings.

We look forward to your contributions to the advancement of equitable vaccine research and the improvement of global health.
