The 4th Prato Conference on Pore Forming Proteins

The 4th Prato Conference on Pore Forming Proteins will be held Monday 24th September to Thursday 27th September 2018 at the Monash University Prato Centre in Italy.

Come to Prato and explore the wonderful world of pore-forming toxins: Pore forming proteins (PFPs) are molecules that self-assemble from a soluble form into oligomeric membrane spanning pores. These molecules play diverse roles in processes such as immunity, bacterial pathogenicity, venom toxicity and developmental biology. From a translational perspective PFPs are also emerging as key molecules of utility in medical research, protection of agricultural crops from pests, DNA sequencing, and as tumour therapeutics.

The meeting will span a wide spectrum of research (both academic and industry focused) on Pore Forming Proteins from all kingdoms of life and across a range of different functions.
