Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The 1st International Online Conference on Technologies (IOCTe2026), organized by MDPI’s scientific journal Technologies in collaboration with our co-organizer, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), will take place from 11–13 November 2026. It aims to address the latest advancements in technological studies and their applications for shaping a sustainable and innovative future.

This conference will be structured around several key thematic sessions, including the following:

  • S1. Information and Communication Technologies
  • S2. Assistive Technologies
  • S3. Innovations in Materials Technologies
  • S4. Manufacturing Technologies
  • S5. Environmental Technologies
  • S6. Electrical Technologies

This event is completely free of charge for scholars to attend and upload and present their latest work on the conference’s platform. Outstanding contributions will be eligible for the conference awards. You can find more information via https://sciforum.net/event/IOCTe2026.

For selected papers that will be presented at this conference, authors are invited to submit extended versions of them to this Special Issue of Technologies afterwards, with a discount on the fees. Submitted papers should be increased to the size of regular research or review articles, with at least a 50% extension of new results. All submitted papers will undergo our standard peer-review procedure, and accepted papers will be published in an open access format in Technologies and compiled for the Special Issue website. There are no page limitations for this journal.

We also welcome scholars who will not be participating in the conference to submit research papers, reviews, and communications to the Special Issue.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Technologies is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
