Dear Colleagues,
Digital Twins are becoming increasingly relevant in the evolution of IoT systems, as they enable digital representations of physical entities and environments. Their adoption is growing in several domains, including smart cities, industry, and healthcare, where heterogeneous sensor data must be integrated and processed to support monitoring, optimization, and decisions.
This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances in Digital Twins for IoT applications. We consider contributions addressing architectures, methodologies, and experimental applications of Digital Twins in IoT systems, with particular attention to the integration of sensing, communication, and services. The goal of this Special Issue is to provide a focused overview of current trends, challenges, and opportunities in this research area, highlighting solutions of interest for both academia and industry.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
