Special Issue Information

This Special Issue will explore how dietary components influence the function of adipose tissue and contribute to the pathogenesis and prevention of metabolic disorders, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Adipose tissue plays a central role in systemic metabolism—not only as a site of energy storage, but also as an active endocrine organ. Recent advances highlight how different fat depots respond to nutritional stimuli in diverse and clinically relevant ways.

We welcome the submission of high-quality original research articles, reviews, and short communications that address the following topics:
