Personalized Exercise Prescription and Adaptive Physical Activity for Health Promotion
This special issue belongs to the section "Physical Exercise for Health Promotion".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Special Issue “Personalized Exercise Prescription and Adaptive Physical Activity for Health Promotion.”
Individual responses to exercise vary according to age, health status, physical fitness, functional capacity, disability, and biological characteristics. Therefore, personalized exercise prescription and adapted physical activity are essential for developing safe and effective interventions that promote health, functional independence, physical fitness, and quality of life across different populations.
This Special Issue aims to advance knowledge on the assessment, prescription, adaptation, and monitoring of exercise and physical activity according to individual physiological and functional characteristics. The topic is directly aligned with the scope of the Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology, particularly in kinesiology, exercise physiology, physical activity and health, rehabilitation, functional assessment, and sports science.
We welcome original research and review articles addressing topics including personalized exercise prescription; adapted physical activity; exercise for people with disabilities and special populations; physical fitness and functional assessment; cardiovascular and metabolic health; physiological and molecular adaptations to exercise; rehabilitation; aging; biological maturation; Para sports; and innovative technologies for exercise assessment and monitoring.
I look forward to receiving your contributions.
