10th Anniversary

The year 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology, a peer-reviewed open access journal on functional morphology and kinesiology research. With an Impact Factor of 2.5 and a CiteScore of 3.7, the journal is covered in Scopus, ESCI (Web of Science), PubMed Central and other databases. The journal has published more than 1500 papers from more than 5900 authors. More than 2000 reviewers have reviewed for the journal at least once. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.

In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.

Journal History


The inaugural issue was released. JFMK was published as a quarterly journal. 

Editor-in-Chief: Prof.Dr. Giuseppe Musumeci.



JFMK was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).



JFMK was indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central (PMC).



JFMK was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science  (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 6 (Issue 1).



JFMK received its first Impact Factor (2.6).
