Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will highlight the health determinants and health issues of migrants, including refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people, with a particular focus on the Middle East, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa and Latin America migrants arriving at the borders of North America, Europe and Oceania. We are especially interested in the evaluation of unique organizations, models of care, the use of technologies and social media and management in a post-COVID-19 world, particularly in a cultural context, though other approaches will be considered. Topics of interest for this issue include human rights, legal and gender frameworks and participatory and decolonizing approaches. Papers may also wish to address policy, social and health care services, including specialized clinics, and nonprofessional management dealing with issues such as integration, mental health, women’s health, children’s health and access to food security, employment, education and appropriate interpretation services.
