Advances in Preventive and Therapeutic Oral Health Care
This special issue belongs to the section "Public Health and Preventive Medicine".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In recent decades, dentistry has undergone a paradigm shift, transitioning from a purely restorative approach to a more holistic model that focuses on prevention and personalized therapy. However, the global prevalence of oral diseases remains high, necessitating the integration of innovative technologies and evidence-based protocols to improve patient outcomes.
This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research addressing current challenges in oral healthcare. We seek to explore the synergy between advanced preventive strategies and modern therapeutic interventions, encompassing the use of biomaterials, digital dentistry and community oral health programs.
I invite authors to contribute original research articles, clinical trials and systematic reviews. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-Innovative preventive strategies for dental caries and periodontal disease.
-Advances in minimally invasive dentistry.
-The role of digital technologies (CAD/CAM, Artificial Intelligence and teledentistry) in oral health care.
-The application in oral healthcare
-The connection between systemic and oral health and its clinical implications.
-Sustainable and accessible oral health care models for diverse populations.
-Personalized medicine and molecular diagnostics in dental therapeutics.
I look forward to receiving your contributions.
