Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue on Innovative Approaches and Interdisciplinary Therapies in Pain Management and Rehabilitation. Pain remains a widespread and complex health challenge, often leading to disability, reduced quality of life, and significant socioeconomic burden. Advances in science, technology, and interdisciplinary care now offer unique opportunities to develop more effective, personalized, and integrated therapeutic strategies.

This Special Issue aims to gather high-quality research and clinical studies on novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for acute and chronic pain, as well as interdisciplinary rehabilitation interventions. It aligns with the journal’s scope by promoting research that bridges innovation and clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

We welcome original research articles and systematic reviews. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Digital health solutions;
  • Immersive virtual reality interventions;
  • Physical therapy innovations;
  • Non-pharmacological and biopsychosocial approaches;
  • Patient-centered integrative models of care.

We look forward to your contributions.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Healthcare is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
