Occupational Health and Psychosocial Risks: Challenges and Solutions
This special issue belongs to the section "Mental Health and Psychosocial Well-being".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Contemporary work environments are increasingly characterized by digitalization, performance pressure and growing organizational complexity, all of which significantly influence workers’ mental and emotional health. Rising levels of mental workload, burnout and exposure to psychosocial risk factors have been associated with adverse health outcomes, reduced well-being and decreased organizational sustainability. Despite the growing body of research in this field, integrated empirical models that explain how these factors interact and affect occupational health outcomes remain limited.
This Special Issue aims to advance scientific understanding of the relationships between mental workload, emotional health, psychosocial risk factors and measurable occupational health outcomes across diverse professional contexts. Particular attention will be given to studies that examine preventive strategies, intervention models and evidence-based organizational practices designed to promote psychological well-being and healthier work environments. Contributions addressing public sector settings, healthcare systems, educational institutions and hybrid or remote work arrangements are especially welcome.
Original research articles and systematic reviews are invited. Topics may include, but are not limited to: burnout and occupational depression, mental workload assessment, emotional health measurement and scale validation, telework-related health risks, organizational health interventions and their implications for mental health outcomes.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
