Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to explore the use of optical biosensors across a wide range of applications and fields, from personalized medicine to nutraceutical and agricultural uses, to environmental monitoring, to defense and security, and to astrobiology research. The applications are broad and diverse. Moreover, the combination of AI with advances in the fabrication of analytical miniaturized devices and rapid, in situ bioassays using optical biosensors plays a significant role in performing complex tasks, including perception, learning, reasoning, and decision-making, particularly when the data are too extensive for humans to process effectively.

Manuscript Submission Information

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Biosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
