Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Neuropsychological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, depression, and schizophrenia, represent some of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine due to their complex etiologies and limited therapeutic options. Effective treatment requires innovative approaches to overcome barriers such as the blood–brain barrier, poor drug bioavailability, and off-target effects. This Special Issue, Advancements in Drug Design and Delivery for Neuropsychological Disorders: Integrating Bioinformatics and Nanotechnology, aims to showcase cutting-edge research that harnesses the power of bioinformatics and nanotechnology to revolutionize drug development and delivery for these conditions.
As the Guest Editors, we invite researchers, clinicians, and engineers to contribute original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that explore novel strategies in this interdisciplinary field. We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to, computational drug design, bioinformatics-driven precision medicine, nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, targeted therapies for neurological disorders, and advanced biomaterials for enhanced drug stability and release. By integrating computational tools with nanotechnology, this Special Issue seeks to address critical gaps in current treatments, paving the way for more effective and personalized therapeutic solutions.
We aim to foster a collaborative platform that bridges bioengineering, bioinformatics, and nanotechnology to accelerate translational research and improve patient outcomes. Submissions should emphasize innovative methodologies, robust experimental designs, and potential clinical applications to advance the field of neuropsychological disorder treatment.
We look forward to your contributions to this exciting and impactful Special Issue.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tahmineh Mokhtari
Guest Editor
Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Bioengineering is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
