The 19th International Symposium “Priorities of Chemistry for a Sustainable Development”, held in Bucharest, Romania, 11–13 October 2023, was a platform for scientific debates and an opportunity for early career researchers to obtain perspectives on hot topics from invited keynote speakers and to present their latest achievements. The event discussed inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches to resolving societal challenges and included two major thematic sessions. The first session focused on multifunctional materials, nanocomposites, and emerging innovative environmental and cultural heritage protection technologies. The second session presented research results on bioeconomy–bioresources and biomass processing according to the value pyramid principle, as well as the innovative (nano)formulation of bioactive compounds recovered from biomass.
