Cover Story: X-ray computed tomography is crucial for medical diagnostics, but frequent exposure poses health risks, driving the use of low-dose CT (LDCT) imaging. However, LDCT introduces noise, compromising diagnostic accuracy. This article presents a pure vision transformer (PViT) with a gradient–Laplacian attention module (GLAM) for LDCT denoising, enhancing edge preservation and structural detail. The model was validated on five datasets, consistently preserving the anatomical structures of piglet, head, abdomen, chest, and thoracic CT images. Extensive ablation studies on attention and loss functions also confirmed the contribution of each module component. Compared to state-of-the-art models, the proposed model shows superior performance in terms of noise suppression, sharper anatomical boundaries, and efficient training, highlighting its clinical applicability. In this paper, we propose an incremental-type subgradient scheme for solving a nonsmooth convex–concave minimax optimization problem in the setting of Euclidean spaces. We investigate convergence results by deriving an upper bound for the absol...
