The 7th Heron Island Conference on Reactive Intermediates and Unusual Molecules—Synthesis and Mechanism—(Heron 7), organized by Curt Wentup and Craig Williams, will be held at Heron Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia, 9–15 July 2016.

The Heron Island Conferences have acquired an excellent international reputation as high quality meetings covering a wide range of chemistry from synthesis and reaction mechanism to theory. We are sure this will be another scientifically and scenically outstanding event, and an excellent line-up of speakers from all over the world is already materializing. Early registration is advised, as the maximum number of attendees will be 100. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
