New Insights in Electrode Materials for Energy Storage and Electrocatalysis

Dear Colleagues,

Biomass-derived carbon materials, their polymer composites, and nanomaterials have gained considerable interest due to their tunable morphology, porosity, and conductivity, being used in environmental remediation, the energy sector, and catalysis. Recent advances in electrode material synthesis have increased their energy storage and catalytic efficiency.

This Special Issue seeks research related to advancements in the synthesis of biomass-derived carbon, transitional metal oxide/sulfide, polymers, and composite electrodes for supercapacitor applications and reactions including oxygen evolution, (OER), hydrogen evolution (HER), and oxygen reduction (ORR).

This Special Issue is also dedicated to advances in the synthesis of electrode materials for supercapacitors and electrocatalysis.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. We anticipate your valuable contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
