Dear Colleagues,
Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing have emerged as powerful paradigms for addressing uncertainty, imprecision, ambiguity, and complexity in real-world problems. “Advances in Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing” are a series of specialized topics aiming to provide an up-to-date picture of developments in fuzzy logic and soft computing ranging from the strictly theoretical to the latest applications. Topics covered will include fuzzy mathematical theory, soft computing, hardware implementations, and industrial applications. Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber-Physical Systems, and Intelligent Decision Support Systems have further accelerated the development of innovative fuzzy and soft computing methodologies and applications. Moreover, integrating soft computing techniques with Generative AI and LLMs is the defining research frontier. Emerging applications incorporate fuzzy rule-based reasoning into AI models to improve transparency and interpretability. This Special Issue aims to provide an international forum for researchers, scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest theoretical developments, computational techniques, and practical applications in fuzzy systems and soft computing. We invite original research articles, review papers, and case studies to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
