Generative AI

For better or worse, we are now living in the Era of Generative AI, with opinions spanning those who welcome the potential offered by these technologies and those who warn against its harms, possibly even heralding the end of human existence. This newly launched section in Informatics seeks to elicit submissions that offer insightful accounts of the ways in which Gen-AI is being developed and incorporated into a wide range of sectors and contexts. We welcome submissions that detail research projects which apply and evaluate the use of Gen-AI in commercial, organizational, and public contexts, providing insights into the ways in which these technologies are being implemented and examining their potential for betterment and enhancement, also warning of possible misuse, abuse, and perils.
