Improving Healthcare Quality Across Diverse Populations
This special issue belongs to the section "Health Care Sciences".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will advance our understanding of healthcare quality across diverse populations by examining how health systems can deliver equitable, effective, and context-responsive care in varied social, economic, and geographic settings. Despite sustained global efforts to improve quality of care, significant disparities persist, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations, particularly in low- and middle-income countries and fragile contexts. This Special Issue will focus on the intersection between healthcare quality, equity, and implementation, emphasizing how structural constraints, health system organization, and social determinants shape both the delivery and experience of care. We welcome contributions that explore health system resilience, quality improvement strategies, and implementation science approaches, as well as policy-relevant interventions aimed at reducing inequities in access and health outcomes. By bringing together empirical research, implementation experiences, and policy-orientated analyses, this Special Issue will generate actionable insights for researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers committed to improving healthcare quality globally.
